Public Safety
I believe that all first responders are important and should always receive the best equipment and resources to do their job. As a military veteran, I know the importance of leadership and how the tone from the top shapes desired outcomes.
Little Elm currently does an excellent job of being open and transparent as such I'd like to build on that by ensuring our future transparency continues to promote accountability and information sharing. Having successfully completed the Citizens Government Academy for the Town of Little Elm and earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. I understand the challenges associated with every day public safety and believe that a greater focus on strengthening community relations for the entire city should always be at the forefront of our community.
Economic Opportunity
The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has threatened small businesses and drastically changed the way of life for everyone around the world to some extent. My focus is to ensure that our Town is creating and attracting jobs that enhance the quality of life for all citizens. As a member of the Little Elm Zoning Board of Adjustment, I believe our Town must continue to prepare for future development opportunities and infrastructure changes throughout our communities.
Additionally, I believe that continued population increase will require careful consideration of issues related to zoning, planning, and general land use. My vision is similar to the majority of the community, to ensure smart growth and create a sense of brand identity that attracts others beyond our borders.
Intelligent Spending
I will continue to fight and support the town’s management in their long-term strategic goals of financial responsibility and operational efficiencies. As our town and neighboring cities see the demand for housing and business development throughout the North Texas Region increase, my intention is to support and promote intelligent spending to ensure the town maintains a competitive tax rate. I believe that a comprehensive approach to spending will allow our town to maintain strong bond ratings and a sustainable reserve fund.
Community Outreach
Community involvement is important for our town and requires great attention. Our Town leaders work with several programs to enhance community relations such as Citizen Academies, Community-focused Social Media Groups, neighboring cities, and recreational activities.
I have taken time to understand the growth challenges our citizens and community leaders face by taking part in the Citizens Government Academy. I will use this education to build relationships to promote and encourage ideas that align with the town's community outreach plan. I will do so by connecting with our citizens and community leaders to focus on community relations throughout our town.
